It seems that almost every year now, the ESPN college football bus makes an annual pilgrimage to Notre Dame.
In 2013, Joe Tessitore hosted the program from within the Notre Dame Football locker room.
This year, ESPN brought out the big guns for their #BusBlitz around the country, previewing a variety of different high profile programs, On Monday, August 11th, the bus made its way to Notre Dame.
Climbing off the bus were three icons in their respective fields. Rece Davis anchored the program, while former FSU and NFL QB Danny Kanell and former Texas head coach Mack Brown provided the insight.
Having the opportunity to spend the day with these guys is always an awesome experience, but this year was even more special.
Coach Mack Brown is a daunting figure when you see him roaming the sidelines with his burnt orange polo shirt on, but upon me entering the TV set, he quickly asked my name and motioned me to come over for a handshake.
Needless to say, the rest of the day was a whirlwind. The talented trio on set was easy going, knowledgeable and very welcoming (which is not always the case).
Here is how the day transpired through the lens of a variety of twitter accounts involved, enjoy:
